Lowest Cost. Best Care.

Happy Neuter Year: A Simple January Step That Helps Pets and People

January is a fresh start. It is also a smart time to take care of something many pet owners mean to do “soon” – spay or neuter. TCAP’s Happy Neuter Year campaign is here to make that step easier, more affordable, and more accessible across North Texas.

If you are searching for “low-cost spay and neuter near me,” you are likely looking for two things: clear information and a clinic you can trust. This guide covers what spaying and neutering are, why they matter, what to expect, and how to plan for preventive care like vaccines.

Spaying and neutering can increase your pet’s life by 3–5 years.

How to Be Prepared

Look for an appointment time on our Online Booking Calendar.

Review our What to Expect page and print off your forms ahead of time.

Decide if you are going to purchase any other services during the spay/neuter surgery. Some of our products and services such as microchips and nail trims are cheaper if purchased during surgery. Review the possible wellness services you could need for your dog or cat and their prices.

Locate your pets current rabies vaccine prior to the appointment. If a rabies vaccine is needed, we will administer for only $5.

Check out our Pre & Post Operative Instructions page for additional things to remember both before and after surgery.

Why Should I Have My Pet “Fixed”?

Spaying or neutering your pet has multiple benefits, including reducing the risk of unwanted litters, preventing certain health issues, and contributing to a longer, healthier life for your pet. It’s an essential part of responsible pet care.

Are Spays and Neuters Expensive?

They certainly can be. However, at TCAP we believe in affordable pet care for all which means prices that don’t raise every year, including cat spays and neuters for $35-$45 and dog spays and neuters for $55-$65. These prices are significantly less than full service vets (87% cheaper on average to be precise). We also regularly run specials to make your visit even more affordable, because we know the least fun part of pet ownership can sometimes be the bill.

Why Should I Choose TCAP for Spays and Neuters?

TCAP opened in 2002 with a mission of putting pets first. In that time we have performed almost one million spays and neuters to date! Each of our 8 clinic locations across North Texas has a highly qualified team that cares about your pet as if they were their own. Not only do we offer the lowest cost, but we also offer the best care. In our 2025 customer survey, TCAP scored an outstanding 95.86% Customer Satisfaction rating, and a Net Promoter Score (how likely someone is to recommend TCAP) of 91.7, well above the industry standard of 34 as reported by the American Veterinary Medical Association for veterinary practices.

If you have additional questions about the spay or neuter process, our team would love to chat with you. Call us at 940-566-5551 or use our chatbot for more information.
