Cat Wellness Services at TCAP

TCAP offers low-cost vaccines, microchipping, and Feline Leukemia testing on a walk-in basis at each of its locations.

Why vaccinate?

Vaccination is a preventive measure and not a cure. Administering vaccines to your pet greatly improves its immune system by stimulating it to form disease-fighting cells and proteins (known as antibodies) to protect against the disease.

Which vaccines does my cat need?

TCAP offers core vaccines for cats and kittens. Kittens should receive both rounds of vaccines to ensure that they have proper immunity against these life-threatening viruses, and receive annual vaccine boosters to ensure they maintain that immunity.

Cat Vaccination Facts

  • All cats must arrive in separate, hard-sided carriers.
  • Every cat must be seen by the veterinarian, at no cost to you, to receive services.
  • Your pet must be bright, alert, responsive, hydrated, eating and drinking normally, and have pink gums.*
  • TCAP only provides a select list of preventative services that align with our mission and not full-service care. For a complete, comprehensive physical exam to discuss any problem your pet is having, please see your full-service veterinarian.
  • At some of our events, you and your pet(s) may have to wait outside while in line to be seen. Please prepare for the weather when attending vaccine clinics. During periods of high heat, pets can quickly overheat while waiting. To protect your pet, bring water, avoid peak afternoon heat when possible, and do not leave pets unattended in vehicles.

* If TCAP’s veterinarian determines a patient does not meet the minimum health requirements for services, the patient will be declined to ensure the patient’s health.
This declination of service is for a pet’s well-being and the patient will be referred to local, full-service hospitals for care.

Policy for Ear-Tipped Cats

Cats that have an ear-tip are considered feral (unfriendly, not able to be safely handled). For the safety of the cat and our staff, TCAP will not be able to vaccinate, recheck, or provide wellness services for cats with an ear-tip without an appointment for sedation at an additional cost of $20 and the qualifying factors for sedation being met (such as age, health, etc).
