Dog Wellness Services at TCAP

TCAP offers low cost vaccines, microchipping, heartworm testing, and flea/tick control on a walk-in basis at each of our locations.

Why vaccinate?

Vaccination is a preventive measure and not a cure. Administering vaccines to your pet greatly improves its immune system by stimulating it to form disease-fighting cells and proteins (known as antibodies) to protect against the disease.

Which vaccines does my dog need?

Some vaccines are considered core vaccines and should be administered to your pet every year, while other vaccines may or may not be necessary depending on your pet’s lifestyle. Our vaccine packages are designed to make it easy to purchase the core vaccination and wellness services your pet needs.

Dog Vaccination Facts

  • Every dog must be seen by the veterinarian, at no cost to you, to receive services.
  • Your dog must be bright, alert, responsive, hydrated, eating and drinking normally, and have pink gums.*
  • TCAP only provides a select list of preventative services that align with our mission and not full-service care. For a complete, comprehensive physical exam to discuss any problem your pet is having, please see your full-service veterinarian.
  • At some of our events, you and your pet(s) may have to wait outside while in line to be seen. Please prepare for the weather when attending vaccine clinics. During periods of high heat, pets can quickly overheat while waiting. To protect your pet, bring water, avoid peak afternoon heat when possible, and do not leave pets unattended in vehicles.

Because our wellness veterinarian must look at every pet, we cannot vaccinate your pet while it is in your vehicle. If you cannot get your pet in line for the exam,
then we cannot vaccinate your pet. All dogs must be on a tight leash. Unlocked-retractable or loose leashes are not allowed for the safety of your pet and other
clients and their pets.

* If TCAP’s veterinarian determines a patient does not meet the minimum health requirements for services, the patient will be declined to ensure the patient’s health.
This declination of service is for a pet’s well-being and the patient will be referred to local, full-service hospitals for care.
