TCAP Burleson Moves to Joshua

The TCAP team is excited to share fantastic news! After years of serving the Burleson community on Wilshire Blvd., we’re embarking on a new chapter with a move to a brand-new, facility in Joshua, TX. This relocation is more than just a change of address. It’s a step forward in our mission. Our goal is to make veterinary care more accessible, comfortable, and convenient for the pets and families we serve.

Why the Move?

If you’ve ever visited our Burleson clinic, you’ve likely noticed how busy we’ve been! Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve outgrown that space. It’s bittersweet to leave a location where we’ve shared so many memories. However, this move allows us to meet the growing demand for our services.

Our new Joshua clinic is a short drive from our Burleson location. It’s a little over 6 miles and just 15 minutes, but it’s a significant upgrade. With more room to work and a larger parking lot, we’re creating a better experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

“With a larger facility and expanded parking, we’re creating a more comfortable experience for our clients, patients, and our staff,” shared Stacey Schumacher, TCAP’s Executive Director.

What’s New in Joshua?

This new facility is designed to enhance your visit. From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice an improved experience. The new clinic provides greater accessibility and a more spacious environment. Our expanded clinic means we can care for even more pets. Whether they’re here for spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, or wellness services.

At TCAP, we’ve always been passionate about keeping pets happy, healthy, and safe. This new space lets us do that more effectively than ever before.

When Can You Visit?

Mark your calendar! The new clinic officially opens its doors on January 6, 2024. We can’t wait to welcome you to this new location. We look forward to welcoming old friends and new faces.

“This new facility allows us to help more people and more pets in greater comfort,” Schumacher added. “Expanding access to low-cost, high-quality veterinary services is our mission.”

A Big Thank You to Our Community

We’re endlessly grateful for the trust and support of the Burleson community over the years. While this move represents a new beginning, our commitment to serving you remains unchanged. We’re proud to bring the same level of care and compassion to Joshua, along with a renewed energy to make a difference for pets and families in the surrounding areas.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission awards grant to Texas Coalition for Animal Protection

Dallas, Texas – [October 22, 2024] Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) provided 316 free spays and neuters to community pets on October 17 & 18. This event was possible thanks to grant funding from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).

The grant, aimed at supporting community pet spay and neuter efforts, enabled TCAP to provide free sterilizations for 213 cats and 103 dogs across its eight North Texas locations.

“The support from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission comes at a key time of year for our community,” said Stacey Schumacher, TCAP’s Executive Director. “Many families face financial constraints as we approach the holiday season. This grant allowed us to make a positive impact on the lives of these animals and the people who love them.”
The number of surrenders increases at North Texas animal shelters during the summer months. Eliminating the barriers to spay and neuter services prevents more unwanted litter from entering already overcrowded city facilities.

TCAP officials report that this is the second consecutive year the organization has received a grant from HHSC. In 2023, 244 pets were sterilized thanks to the funding provided by HHSC. The 2024 result of 316 represents a 30% increase.

“We’re thankful for HHSC’s support and commitment to animal welfare,” Schumacher said. “We’re looking forward to assisting more pet parents needing high-quality, affordable services.”
